Jim- I just hooked a shielded output to my power supply to try & eliminate hum, but now I've lost the -15v output. The + 15 is ok, & the LED is lit,of course. What should I check- the diodes?I assume the transformer is ok...Thanks..

Most likely the -15V supply is shorted to ground. Many people seem to do this. Disconnect your output cable and it will probably return.

Jim- You nailed it!- the + and - seem ok now. ( Glad I'm not the only one!
) I want to separate the PS from the bugle to get away from other components, the hum was pretty loud. What would be good for a power lead(other than the two conductor + ground coax that caused this problem)?

I like to deliver power on twisted pairs. Not a tight twist, loose, maybe 1.5 turns per inch. Just like CAT5.
