For an inexpensive, very good quality HDMI cable, it might be worth it to try these folks:

I use their DVI cable and have had very good results.

What do you know about their cables in general (or specifics)? The have good prices, but are the wires decent quality? I looked at the speaker cables, power cables, etc, and they look nice (fairly simple... they could probably be done at home).

their stuff is very good quality and they always have stock.

also if you have any tech ?'s they have a tech department.

i have used them a bunch of times in the past and they always have done the right thing.

give them a shot you won't be let down.

I just got their "high end HDMI" cable in 6ft length for around $40 shipped. Service was very fast, cable is nicely made and works great. I don't see much difference in pic quality compared to the component it replaced (between SA 8300HD DVR and Sony Qualia 006), but the audio is definitely improved.
