When you say "Manic Moose reports that it can’t connect with the server" are you talking about no longer being able to connect to the BDP-2 in your web browser? Or to the BDP-2 no longer being able to connect to the Tidal server? I assume you are talking about using Tidal via Manic Moose, with your Tidal credentials entered into Manic Moose.
Also, your first post said you need to rebuild the music database, but it's not clear to me if that's actually something you need to do in order to resolve the problem, or just something you tried, or just something that the BDP-2 is deciding to do on its own as part of your attempts to recover.
Also, you say "Prior I had to on occasion unplug the unit and restart, but not with the frequency that has occurred since introducing Tidal.", so I kind of think you are saying you cannot access Manic Moose in the web browser, since you talk about using "the new URL address" and corrected yourself to WAN instead of Internet. A "new URL address" implies the BDP-2 is getting a new IP address after you reboot. So is it possible you have two different devices using the same IP address, either because of how you have statically set the IP address of one or the other, or because of how you have configured your DHCP server? Do you have two DHCP servers on the same network, allocating the same IP space and causing collisions?
