Awesome!!
So, rather then looking at it in one ball of parts, look at it step by step. Part by part, breaking down your questions.
So, where do you start? Well, without even looking at kit contents, find a spot you can tear down and have room to move! Take the drivers out, just a guess!
Pro Tip, take photos of everything! Tho, you may not be using the same parts to go back in, taking photos helps a lot with any task like so! Take the drivers out, take a photo. Can’t hurt!
If you have no Rez, you’ll want to prep the side walls of the box. Remove any hanging glue, clean the walls of the box. Measure twice cut once. Install. I like to wipe all down, clean after a light scuff.
Crossover! You going to have to find the schematic or watch the videos about the cross over setup. Use the screen shot. This way you get a still image of what your trying to copy. I don’t know what parts you have. If I had a photo, could show you how to setup. Tips! Coils! Don’t lay them together! You don’t want to be symmetrical with this! If one lays flat, stand the other on its side so it rolls into it or away. This way the EMI field that will happen won’t screw things up!
Wrap your wires.. then solder. Soldering is so much fun! In this case a 20 watt pencil iron will work. But a solder gun will heat these wires faster. Don’t over heat. Soldering is like a smooth dance with flowing metal and heat with equal balance. It’s not hard, practice on some junk wire first. Once you get your xover setup and solder together you can “nail it down” to some MDF, or scrap wood. Anything. Heck, thick cardboard will work! (This is hi end, so I would not recommend. Just making a point. Don’t over think it.) You’ll have some wire to attach to this, then mount it!
You get tube connection for your speakers? Now would be a good time to hitch this up.. I got steps but won’t bore you. Attack in a methodical nature, you’ll be good! Or ask a direct question about what your stumped on.
Wire your drivers, ask about polarity! This is important! Some kits need you to reverse this. Again, I have not seen the kits, videos or any talk.
Step by step! Day by day! Unless you got time, couple hours. Ha ha ha. Good luck!
Last step is to w
