Hi James,
The last few days my BDA-3.14 shows very strange behaviour. The music on my USB hard disk is organized in folders but the BDA-3.14 saw only a few files from the first two folders. In that stadium, it could play music. Later on, all folders seem to have disappeared and there was no sound anymore. I have checked the hard disk, but there was nothing wrong with it. All maps and files were there.
I tried the usual tricks: update, reboot, factory reset, all to no avail. The only thing that worked, was to remove the power cord for a few minutes and then everything seems OK. For the time being, that is.
This happened two times now, within a few days.
FYI, the hard disk is formatted in exFAT, but I have also tried my backup hard disk (one at a time), that is formatted in FAT 32 and the other format didn’t make a difference. Both disks use less than 200 mA, so they are not drawing too much current from the BDA-3.14.
According to Manic Moose, the unit is up-to-date. The firmware version is BDA314_2020_04c. I know there is a newer version available for the BDA-3, but I don’t know if this version also is correct for the BDA-3.14.
Do you have an idea what was going on? Is there anything I can do to prevent such problems?
Thanks,
WillyP
