I am running my CD transport into a DAC, then to a tube stage with variable gain then to a passive inline xover then to the main DVD and surround inputs. I then wire my Maggie woofers to the main speaker outputs and the surround outputs to the Maggie tweeters. No problems at all. I use the tube gain stage because my DAC is a passive output stage and the inline passive xover attenuates the signal by 2 db. The JVC F10 has a 47K input impedance but I see no reason that you could not add an additional gain ...
I wish JVC (or someone else) would make a digital receiver with more video inputs and better speaker posts along with the same type of sound. Eventually, I guess...
