Hello,

Been auditioning coaxials for years, trying to find the Cindarella one. Decided to go with Tannoy, in part because I was able to get three of them (it's for the LCR of a home theater/music system), and also because I didn't want to use an external amplifier - these are 4 ohm, and so need an decent amplifier (most receivers won't do a 4 ohm load). The Tannoys are 16 ohm so they're super easy for the receiver. In great shape (look completely new), have good boxes/packing for shipping. $465 for the pair, and I'll deal with the shipping costs. If you're local/near Los Angeles I can do less as I'll save on shipping.

These are a coaxial 2 way, using underhung motors for both the woofer and the tweeeter, and a 1st order phase-coherent crossover that Thiel is known for. Underhung motors are INCREDIBLY rare in speakers, as it costs a lot in magnets, almost always uses rare-earth magnets (these Thiel speakers use neodymium for BOTH the woofer AND the tweeter). But the result is that the voice coil is always saturated in the magnetic field, and so they're completely linear at all times (overhung motors are not completely linear/have more distortion).

Cheers,
Tal

Tweeter: 1 inch (2.5 cm) aluminum dome, 5 neodymium magnets, copper pole sleeve, short coil/long gap design, coincidentally mounted with woofer.
