Hate to say this, but 211 Carbon plate tubes do sound nice, I prefer it in my 211 amp over some other 211 that I have.

Carbon is an excellent electron absorber so it doesn't wonder me that you like this material.

I hate to spend high price for Chinese tubes, but a friend let me borrow them to try it out. I was pretty surprised compared to 5 different brand of 211/242C that I have, then I got an offer to buy them at a price I can't refuse...! I did miss a chance to try out a pair of Metal Plate 211, pretty similar to the 845 Metal Plate which I really like.

i have been running ge and gold lion in my CARY 805 monoblocks and to my ears there is not much difference to justify the extra cost
