This one has Tomlinson Holman involved. I've an email with a bunch of questions into them. If I find out more I'll report back. Anyone heard this?

Some more info... Uses FIR filters. The discussion about clustering seats using fuzzy logic, and giving the audiophile seat (sweetspot) the best sound, is quite interesting.

Has anyone listened to a receiver with this technology (Onkyo and Denon both offer them--its called `Auto Setup' I believe) at home in a living room? It sounds very promising (people are saying great things about two channel FIR equalization). A much cheaper alternative to treating your living room (especially when you take the divorce into account).

Although all of these better room eq technologies will go on record as saying that they will perform MUCH better in a well-treated room. As Tom Holman says, there is no electronic fix for first reflections.

I also read that. Apparently those first reflections can be handily tamed with some attractive potted plants though, which usually have a high WAF. Add a nice carpet or two and you're there.

DRC works well in conjunction with these traditional room treatments, as I understand it.

My cat, so far, is surprisingly well behaved. I have him trained to avoid the speakers and the rest of the system by a wide margin (he describes a large cirlce to avoid them). At first I was worried he would think the speakers are trees.

He would love a nice expensive rug to sharpen his claws on though. I'm hoping he'll go for the potted plants instead.

... I picked up a rug for free. You can't see the stains once its shredded (and shredding works wonders in the 5-10K range).
