maxima95 - As mentioned, am not sure yet from tests that the Audax is too hot (the crossover clearly has mid/high built in loss to match the lower sensitivity of the woofer) as only had one instance where 6Khz, or so, was 3dB high. Perhaps the Halifax guy can provide the original Energy tweeter rating? He would not provide me with final plots: return loss, sensitivity, flatness, if he rebuilt mine - my engineering background requires that performance be verified, so I declined his rebuild offer. As am working with a known quantity here, the Audax, and results match the Auratone near field studio monitor in the mid/high region, will add a pad if required (to the rear plate) to complete my Audax/22 monitor conversion. Good luck with your project.

Over 10 days now of extensive testing/listening and have concluded that the Audax TW034X0 is a direct drop-in for the Energy 22 tweeter! Do get Solen* to ship spade connectors with the tweeters. Try this track for a real workout of the reconfigured Audax/22's: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Youtube%3a+chris+botti+the+place+between+us&&view=detail&mid=D9D64CEB9F746A95E19AD9D64CEB9F746A95E19A&rvsmid=EE03050ED60DF797AB34EE03050ED60DF797AB34&fsscr=0&FORM=VDFSRV Scroll to 48:30.

Suggest you will need a serious amplifier - mine is a Bryston 2B-LP, 50 watt stereo with very high damping factor spec (>500 at 20Hz into 8 ohms) to control the woofer excursion.
