What speakers are they? Best,Anand.
45 tubes will give you 2 watts or so. That's the direction I would go. You are not going to come close to maxing out a 2 watt amp (unless you have a huge space or head bang constantly). I would consider a Korneff 45 amp if you can find one. I would also consider a 46 amp. Harder to find (more something to build), but they are stunning. My speakers are 94db or so, so I am using 300Bs. Shawn

I Have a VAC 30/30 stereo tube amp with twin 300B's per channel that it took my Wavacs to replace,
I've been upgrading amps recently and now have more than I can use. If you're interested, I have a Dennis Had Inspire KT88HO amp.It is a tube rectified, single ended pentode amp that can run just about any power pentode or tetrode (EL84, 6V6, KT66, EL34, KT77, KT88, KT120, KT150) and just about any rectifier tube. The driver tube uses a 6DJ8 or 6CG7. Super quiet and Dennis will do a power supply update (he just came up with a cool new regulation circuit). It is identical to this with a different driver tube: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEREO-TUBE-AMPLIFIER-INSPIRE-by-DENNIS-HAD-KT88-TUBE-SINGLE-ENDED-AMPLIFIER/152314317677I bought it a few months ago and have barely used it. I have another SET amp and one of Dennis' higher powered (and much more expensive) amps as well. This amp has a a thread over on Audio Aficionado with nearly 3,000 posts. Power ranges from 5wpc (6V6) to about 12 wpc (KT88).Dennis Had is the now "retired" founder and CEO of Cary Electronics who hand makes and signs these. They are really cool and a lot of fun.PM me if you are interested.R
Woody. Did you have these shipped? If these were originally located in San Antonio, I've heard them. Good stuff. If you need a little tube integrated to use with them (2.8wpc) let me know, I'd be happy to sell you one.
You might check over on the Klipsch forum. Kolledog is trying to sell a Will Vincent Baldwin tube amp. 25 watts per channel. I have heard good things about them. I have come close to buying it myself for use with my horns.
