Purchased Soundirok tonight. At first glance Soundirok has a lot of potential, but for me it isn't an MPad replacement yet. While I like the Soundirok interface, I really miss having an album view option (maybe I missed it). The real problem for me is a lot of albums that have no issues in MPad either don't appear under the artist, or show up incorrectly. I use a mix of WAV and FLAC files and I wonder if Soundirok has issues with WAV files.
That said, I really hope the Soundirok developers fix the bugs since the interface is very clean, seems fast, and has some very nice features.

I am optimistic that this app will improve, fast. I had some questions about setting up his style of playlists and the developer was very responsive.
As for albums not showing up, this is odd - like MPaD, Soundirok gets its information from MPD, so if it appears in MPaD it should appear in any MPD app.
Send Daniel an e-mail and let him know what issues you are having and he will respond.
mailto:info@kvibes.deHe mentioned in one of his replies that someone with a BDP-2 was having some challenges with configuring the MPD settings for art work; he asked me for my settings. Here they are, for anyone else's reference:
Name: Bryston BDP-1
IP Address: bryston-bdp-1.local
Port: 6600
Password: <empty>
Cover Script URL: <empty>
*Note: I downloaded (his) script into the www folder on the BDP-1, but I can’t seem to make this work, so I went with the settings that follow (which work really well - I have 100% coverage in album art).

Artist Thumb Filename: Folder.jpg
EDIT: while I was posting that e-mail, I received an e-mail from the developer, responding to a question I had about upcoming features:
"I’ve already added the filetype, sample rate and bit-depth on the playback screen and browsing/grouping by genres and just albums. I’ll test this some days and then I will upload the new version to the app store.
Displaying PDFs inside an app is not quite easy (you need a rendering engine for pdfs or you need to embed a web view what’s not really nice). But I’ll see if there is an option to integrate PDFs nicely into Soundirok."
