Bybee units for speakers

My speaker manufacturer recommends using Bybee products but as I know nothing about Bybees I'll canvass your opinions. I see these filters with both the negative and positive wires attached to a Bybee product as well as speaker cables with just one of the wires attached. For instance there is an ad in the classified section for RS speaker cables with just a bybee on the positive side.

What if any benefits can one expect by using Bybees and why only use them on the positive connection?

All comments are appreciated.

You might want to look through this review by Dick Olsher

The Purifiers can be used on the negative lead and it will improve the sound a bit more. Just using them on the positve leads gives the best bang for the buck.

A speaker seems to be as true a balance load you can get, so inserting a component on either "leg" is identical, inserting on both "legs" would be redundant. But I don't know if technical explaination and bybee belong in the same paragraph...:)

From what I've been told (and what I like to do), having 2 Bybee's in series on the positive is the best case scenario for getting the most outta Bybee's. It's the Ultra. Regards, Robin

I'm with Steve. Positive or negative can't possibly make any difference. You probably don't even know which way the driver is wired into the crossover.

PS satfrat your sig really is annoying...
