To GME109:It is true that ribbon foil conductors cannot be easily configured for a bi-wire application, since stacking two layers of foil together with only a thin layer of insulation will result in high reactance. There would be too much interaction between the positive and negative fields, creating unwanted inductance or capacitance, depending on the spacing of the conductors and the geometry. I would rather lose the benefits of bi-wiring than listen to high coloration caused by improper cable design. The company making this cable has discovered this and is correctly advising their customers to use a jumper. In many cases, there are always exceptions to the rule, and this is one of them.
The price on the cables is not a secret, we just have many options. You can call me and we can discuss options. My name is Leif Swanson.951-682-0706
