Hi, anyone seen something that puts out two channel DSD but no DAC/filter? I've got some thoughts on making a fun "DAC" but would rather play with a pre-made interface before I work at designing both.

That's interesting. They sell an HDMI board for separating, too.

As far as I've figured out, on some boards it does at different times, but not always. There's no specific reason to have it. Signal in the mhz range.

I do not know about DC levels, but I can measure mine at some point.  DSD and PCM (I2S) are multiplexed on the same outputs and meet the input spec of the ESS 9018 DAC chip.
Might take me a few days to measure as I am quite busy, if you do not hear from me on this thread, feel free to send a friendly reminder via PM.
I tell ya though, I am not much of a fan of a fully passive filter only approach for DSD, having heard some attempts at it.  Are you planning an active approach, or just a passive filter and no noise shaping?  The necessary filters seem to need to be so strong and so close to the audio band as to cause problems, of course, DSD x4 could be a lot better, and using HQPlayer might solve a lot of the issues.

I've got ideas, and no, it wouldn't be just a passive device. However DC might saturate part of it.
