FS: Straley Reality speaker cables, 16 ft pair, spades, VGC SOLD

A very popular cable on here a few years ago. A quick Google will get all the positive comments and reviews.

I bought this pair maybe 2 yrs ago but used it little. Shortly after purchase my layout changed and I didn't need this long length. Been in my closet since then.

Single wire, 16 ft long, spades all around. It has the optional black mesh nylon sleeve. Overall condition is excellent. No snags, pulls, tears or rips. Spades barely have marks on them. Some of the ends, where the mesh sleeve meets the shrinkwrap, are wrapped w/ electrical tape It arrived this way from previous owner. It's neat and tidy, and obviously has no effect on performance. I only mention it for completeness, the condition is basically the same as I received it.

Per the website, current retail w/ the optional mesh sleeve is $560. I'm asking $280. USPS Priority Mail shipping is free. Add 3% if you don't use PayPal family / friends / gift.

You could cut these and re-terminate into two pair of more typical length. Can reduce your cost by selling the pair not needed.

Hi John,
I'm interested in your reality cables.
My problem is I would use them with vintage equipment (integrated amp, Sherwood s5000).
It's got a terminal barrier for the speaker posts, ie. posts smaller than usual.
Do u think the amp end spades would work on vintage equipment.

Just saw this now, sorry for delay in responding.

Can't say offhand if the spades will work, but I can give measurements and with them, perhaps you can determine fit.

outside width: 14mm (just a bit over 1/2 inch)

inside width is stepped: 9mm at spade tips; 6mm at spade bottom

I used calipers and measured carefully. I also PM'd you this info, but as a member with few posts, not sure you can use this feature.

Here's a possible solution...

If you look at my pics showing the Reality spade, there are two solid feeling wires going into each one. I'm guessing it's real easy to just cut them off, strip back the insulation, and insert the bare wire ends into these adapters. Of course, I have no idea if the wires are too thick.

I believe these old barrier strips were made to screw down on very thin bare wire. Many modern cables, even with bare ends, would be too thick. Hence, these fork plug adapters.
