Looking for a small speaker project (0.25 cu/ft)
« on: 18 Feb 2015, 05:27 pm »
I have a 0.25 cu/ft parts express cabs that I want to build a project in.  I have a sub so sealed is fine/good.
Right now I have only found the Zaph one at Madisound.  https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/2-way-speaker-kits/zaph|audio-za5.2-tm-2-way-pair/
Anyone got others?

The link doesn't work, though with no fault of your own (other than not testing it).  The pipe symbol (|) used in the name "Zaph|Audio" doesn't work with the forum's hyperlink code, and I suspect it would have problems with some other forum software too.

The closest you can get is with a search link Here's a link generated using the site's search:
https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/index.php?p=catalog&mode=search&search_in=all&search_str=za5.2

Edit: I didn't think of using Ruben's solution in the following post to use the %7 character code for the pipe symbol - although this is the first time I recall running into it in a link.

Is the front baffle already cut out or yet to be routed ?

0.25 ft^3 = 7 litres.

Quite a number of 4ish inch full-ranges that work in 7 litres. They may need to be vented to reach down to where sub(s) can be XOed.

Definitely not looking for full rangers.  I had some Alpair 7.3s in there till one failed.  I will vent.

This uses a nicer tweeter.  I've built a pair that I keep in the kitchen.  It's for a slightly smaller box, but could be made to work.

Definitely not looking for full rangers.

Silver Flute W14 works in that volume. You are on your own for tweeter & XO.
