i dont think sohaving seen the magnet size of tweeters(high efficiency)is astonishing i dont know how a single full ranger speaker can match thatnote that the cone is heavyespecially at trebleonly multiway speakers are high efficiencykind regards...
i dont think so ..... only multiway speakers are high efficiency
This post is rather difficult to understand. Please clarify.
You're an "industry participant" and you post this? It is incorrect.
Hi Georgopoulos.Sorry to say, but what you wrote make no sense at all to me and I am sure to other AC members. Can you re-phrase/write that?To me, look like what you are saying is that a tweeter with a big magnet can play louder than a full range driver. Is that what you are saying?Waiting for a new post from you that make more sense to all us us.Plus clarify your point.Thanks.Guy 13
Until a person has heard what the 4 1/2" Driver can do with 6 watts, it is difficult (if not impossible) to believe how big it sounds, and how loud it plays. I believe this is the point the op is trying to make. And yes, I have been asked to turn my 4 1/2" Omega's down.
Speakers "sensitivity rating", "power handling rating" and "overall system synergy" would generally be the first thing I would look at, when determining how loud they can get ?(Generally speaking, of course, I would have to start there. But, I must also say, that those Omega's look sweet and I am a little envious of anyone that has a pair.)
+1Haven't stated it in a while, but as a public service announcement, continuous exposure to 85 dB will result in permanent hearing loss and possible permanent tinnitus. Most audiophiles I've shared the past-time with listen at or below an average of 85 dB (not the same as continuous). Because of their high efficiencies, it would only take 0.1 watts per channel for Omegas to reach 85 dB. At 1.0 watt input, Omega's will reach 94 - 97 dB, so yes, like nearly any loudspeaker Omega speakers can play loud IMO. Without plugging numbers into the discussion and defining other parameters (like room size, speaker/listener setup) no qualified answer is possible.
Do you have the no% value? from some drivers?
Sorry, don't understand what you're trying to say.
