What audio companies have given you the best in customer service?

Heres mine:

1. ACI - Mike is a champ. He is always available to answer questions and stands behind his products

2. Odyssey - even though I don't own Odyssey stuff, I see Klaus as a class act who produces great stuff and takes care of his customers

3. Bryston - They are a bigger company that treats its customers like they know them. Great products that are well built and with an unbelievable warranty

For me it has to be AV123.com they sell great gear with the best customer service I have seen yet. I am a return customer because of the great service. They make it a pleasure to spends vast amounts of money.

I could tell you the worst but that wasn't the question So I will leave that alone.

M&K speaker co. for me. They rebuilt one of  my V-1B subs free. The sub was long out of warranty. Floyd Martinez is the service manager. Wonderful person to do business with.

        Cheers

Balanced Audio Technology (BAT) bent over backwards to help with an upgrade on an amplifier.  I bought the amp as a demo from a dealer who misrepresented its age, so it was technically out of warranty, but BAT made the upgrade free of charge and even paid for shipping back to me.

1. Martin Logan - nothing short of excellent service any time I have called.

2. My electronics "fix-up" person.  Always comes through in repairs, changes,  and turn-around time.

In no particular order:

VH Audio - Chris is super responsive, bends over backwards to work with you AND he offers a 60 day trial period.  Can't recommend him enough!!

Argent Audio - Ric is always available to answer questions and to tell a great story.

Ridge Street Audio - Robert also answers all questions in a prompt fashion and works with you to make sure you are happy - if you aren't happy, it isn't lack of effort on his part.

Bent Audio - John answered 6 million questions and watched me change the configuration a dozen times on my NOH preamp.  He not only dealt well with that, but was knowledgable, friendly, and just great to talk to.

Gallo Acoustics - when I problems with the tweeter and was lied to by the dealer I bought the speakers from, they stepped right up handled the technical and business issues promptly and to full satisfaction.

VMPS Audio - Brian responds promptly to ALL my e-mails and when I had technical issues, he took care of it promptly.

DIY Cable - Kevin is responsive and provides good communication.  Earned points by proactively notifying me of issues with the Exodus amps.  When I asked for a refund, it was promptly given.

Outlaw Audio - They really stand behind their products and don't hesitate to have you send in the unit to have it looked at and fixed.  Five year warranty is a plus.

A vendor who needs to work on their customer service...

Balanced Power Technologies - really poor communication and products never arrive within the timeframe they are promised.

I have dealt with at least 3/4 of the manufacturers with circles here and they are all great, or they would not be in business.

One sticks out though, norh. When I had problems with my Multi-amps, they sent the designer/manufacturer, Werner Hartinger from Thailand to my house to see what the problem was and fix them!! :o   That was a 10,000 mile or so house call.

That was Herculean in my book.

Great customer service:

Odyssey Audio - UPS dropped one of my amps hard enough to kill it and Klaus turned it around in 2 days. Called me on the weekend to let me know they were working on my amp and that it would ship Monday.

DIYCable - I had a ZAPPulse module damaged in shipping and Kevin shipped a new one the next day before I could even get the damaged one shipped back. When I had questions about some of the LCAudio stuff he passed them on to Lars at LCAudio and he was very helpful as well.

Great to buy parts from:

Parts Connexion
Reference Audio Mods
DIYCable
Antique Electronic Supply
Mouser
Digikey

All of the parts suppliers above have been great to deal with. Prompt shipping and quality products.

Folks I won't do business with again:

Stan Warren - an utter lack of communication. I read somewhere he's getting out of the mod business.

Transcendent Sound - good products but I don't care for the owner. Of course he may not care for me either.

Damn Rob, that is exceptional. I didn't know about that one.  :notworthy:

Polk Audio -  For a brand of their size, they really do look out for the customer. A company full of people who care about the product first... a rare thing for a mass-market brand.

SVS - Never bought anything from them and I feel guilty for it -  TOP NOTCH customer service in handling all my questions in a very honest and timely manner.

Ascend Acoustics - Just like SVS (only I did buy something from Ascend).

Wayne at Bolder Cables tops my list - replaced a used IC that failed the continuity test, with a new one, before I even shipped the flawed one back to him.   Always responsive to questions, even the ones that cannot possibly lead to profit on his part - great, friendly source of information.

I would also recommend Take Five Audio in Canada, for parts purchases, they were fast to respond, and great to work with.

I would also like to commend Teac Canada, for helping me, with all my silly questions about the A-L700P before I bought two of them.  Their Canuck Service Manager was really friendly and responsive, especially when he found out why I wanted a couple of these.

My votes:

1) Odyssey Audio / Klaus Bunge.

2) Chris Ven Haus.

Both firms / gentlemen, in my opinion, are superb representatives of premier audio sales, service, and knowledge.

Chris from VHAudio.
This guy is so conscientious (sp?) and detail oriented. He called me 5 minutes before UPS guy took my package to clear up my garbled shipping address. He started making interconnects for me at midnight and shipped them out the day before he left for vacation. This guy has provided me with the best customer service I have ever experienced!!!

Combine his great customer service with excellent products at a good price and you have a recipe for success. Thanks Chris and many more years of success.
