S Clark got there first (and I remember that too) :The early Ohm Walshes had a rep for "200 watts to drive, 250 watts to blow it up".
Those early ones differed from the "modern" ones in one key aspect: They were true single-fullrange-driver systems (the Walsh driver handled everything)(Shoutout to fullrangeman). All the current models use a tweeter to handle the extreme highs. This apparently allows much more favorable electrical characteristics from the Walsh driver (higher sensitivity, better dynamic range.)
It's an interesting concept. I have not heard a pair but I'd like to. If you're listening, Ohm, come to Capital Audiofest!
