Hi Xinon;
Thanks for your question. Norway is one of the countries in Europe that have moved their Voltage up from 220V to 230V. The Norwegian Bryston importer specifically asked that Bryston amplifiers for sale in Norway be equipped for 230/240 Volts rather than 220/230. Though it is a small difference, it allows the amplifiers to run somewhat cooler and still meet all specifications. Preamplifiers generate very little heat, so it does not enter into the equation in the same way, and they always are labeled for either 120V or 220V. In the future we will likely change the labeling on the European preamps to read ‘230V’, but the actual power supply will remain the same.
I hope the above is clear and explanatory, but please let me know if you have other questions. Thanks for buying Bryston!
Best regards,
Chris Russell
