The Rocky Mountain Audio Fest is coming up radiply. There will be a amazing collection of people, gear and tunes for eveyone to check out.

The list of exhibitors has gotten HUGE http://www.audiofest.net/Show_Information/product_list.htm
and the products on display is even bigger http://www.audiofest.net/Show_Information/product_list.htm

The BOLDER Cable Company is very proud to be part of this show.

We will be displaying:

A Teres 255 with both wooden and Delrin clamps, adjustable on-the-fly VTA with a modded Rega 250 arm rewired to use BOLDER Cable Summit interconnect

The Phono section will be a "BOLDER-built" Hagerman Cornet

Made with Jensen coupling caps and RIKEN- Ohm resistors.

The digital source will be a BOLDER-modified Pioneer DV-S755Ai Universal Player

The Preamp with be a "BOLDER-Built" Hagerman Clarinet made with Mundorf Silver Supreme oil caps and Riken resistors.

The big excitment for me will be the introduction to the US of JJAZ ICE Power amplifiers.

We will have a 500 watt per channel stereo amp in a stainless case and a pair of teak mono-blocks, rated at 1000 watts a piece!.

The guys from JJAZ have offered to send the amps around on a "tour" of the US after the show, providing they don't get sold at the show

We will also have their new isolaton foot: the FOD pdf file on the JAZZ FOD

To keep all the great equipment in place and looking good. we will be using racks made by Adona Corporation

Speakers will be by VMPS

All interconnects will be the new Summit. Speaker wire will be NITRO. Power cables will be NITRO Plus with "Bybee inside"

Room treatment will be by Eighth Nerve

Please drop by the suite with some of your favorite tunes to take a listen. We will be very interested in your impressions of the new products.

Looks to be a sweet set up.
I have to go to FL in December, so that axed any plans for CO in October
Have a good show, Wayne.

Oh, yes.. It's indeed a sweet setup and we are very proud to have our amplifiers on the exhibition with Bolder.

With a bit of luck we will have a photoshoot by the end of this week with lots of pictures of both the Stainless and the brand new specially chosen Padauk wooden enclosures. Look for a post with more pictures or a link to the photoshoot on our website.

Thus the IP205KW Stainless is fitted with wooden Teak feet, and the IP110KW monoblocks are made out of Padauk.

Erhmm... That's a question I can easily answer for Wayne..

The amps are in transit via UPS right now, so unfortunately he hasn't gotten them yet. They will arrive at the Bolder facility in a few days from now.

We've shot new pictures of the amps, I'll get them on the website and post a link here.

Looks like it will be a great show!

Sweet looking TT and the rack also looks fabulous. I have inquired about using one in our room also.

Also interested in hearing the amps!

Should be a good show! Look forward to seeing you there.

According to UPS the amps are still in Denmark. Hopefully they can get their act together and figure out how to get them to Colorado this week.

If the amps arrive before the weekend, I hope to be able to have a "pre-show" listening party on Saturday. It would have to be late morning/early afternoon as my son is playing in a hockey tournament in Colorado Springs Saturday night.

The RM-30s are supposed to ship this week as will the rack, hopefully.

Dan, I look forward to seeing you again and maybe finding time to have a beverage or three with you.

A quick update and a few changes.

All the amps arrived. The center channel RM-30 is still MIA. If UPS can not find it by tomorrow, Brian is going to Air Freight one out.

The digital source is going to be an Exemplar Audio modded Denon 2900.

The cartridge on the analog side will be an Van den Hul retipped Shelter 501 MK II. It does have a lins contact stylus on it.

Moving coil step-up will be either the K & K Audio or the Bent Audio S & B transformer.

Tubes in the Cornet will be Sovtek 12AX7ALPS, Sylvania 5814 triple Mica and Sylvania CHY5Y3GTA

The Clarinet will use Raytheon 5814s and the same rectifier tube as in the Cornet. Tube dampers will be HALOs. Knobs for the Clarinet are Cocobolo Thingamaknobs.

The weekend was full of ups and downs.

Ups included most of the DAM coming by and seeing Jason after too long an absence. Having Briian Cheney and his wife Shirley come out to visit my customer's places and tune their speakers was an honor.

Working the booth by myself and not being able to wander about too much was a low.

Talking to people who have head of VMPS but never heard them was a lot of fun.

The biggest down was losing my 15 yr old daughter's laptop, which we gave her for her birthday, during loadout. I do remember putting the case in the van, but I may have removed it to move some things around and it looks like it never made it back. I contacted security and all who were helping me. GONE. So today I have to go out and get her another one.

My digital camera has also gone missing. I guess I exhausted myself more than I realized. It is hard for a proud old curmudgeon to admit he is not 30 anymore.

Meeting Zybar, Deadfish, Double Ugly and the rest of the ACers form out of state was a really big plus.

I am still a bit worn out and I will slowly get the orders placed over the weekout out to you all. The first thing I will be finishing up is Marks teac.

Sorry to hear about the laptop and digital camera!   :(   If it is any consolation at all, you'll get better gear for the same money today, or spend less to get something equivalent.

I got a very good deal last Dec on a Compaq Presario 2172 laptop which I ordered direct from their website for under $850 shipped (after rebates).  Key specs are 1.9 Ghz processor, 256 meg RAM, 40 gig hard drive, 15" active matrix screen, CD-burner/DVD.  You can certainly get better specs today.

You know, its funny but the first time I started to feel aging was when I turned 30...   :?

Wayne, sorry to hear about your daughter's laptop, and your digital camera - go take care of that stuff, then you can buckle down and find the time for my amp.

Glad thet there were ups, to go with the setbacks, during your busy weekend.  Another year, I will have to conjure up a reason for Michelle and I to come out that way for the event...

Have a great day,

Mark in Canada

Darn... I guess that means no pictures of your booth then, we had been hoping to do a small gallery from the exhib on our website.

Anyway.. If we succeed on the US market, we will be there next year to help you out in the booth.
