VR-7SE Mk2 speakers for sale
« on: 13 Jan 2014, 10:24 pm »
Finally put my upgraded 7's up for sale.  They are on Audiogon and everywhere else Cor, Kevin O'brien and I can think of.  Will come with a 10 year factory warranty, courtesy of AVS.  The Stillpoint Ultra 5 isolation devices are NOT part of the sale, but the Track Audio footers are included.  Please PM me if interested.

Again.  Now at $33,950. w/full VSA 10 year warranty.  Gets you 80% of the 9's at 30% of the price!! Arguably 1 of the best values in VSA full-size speakers.

Pretty simple - $50K under retail of $80K (including MK2 update)and sound better than 95%+ of speakers under $50K.  Also come with 10 yr VSA warranty.  Check my ad in Audiogon for more info.

Now sound more like 9's than 7's, for a fraction of the price.  THAT"S WHAT MAKES THEIR NOT BEING SOLD SURPRISING.  This is not a speaker for bottom-feeders, which seem to predominate a number of sales websites these days.  They are a tremendous value for an audiophile that knows how good these really are.  VAC used to show with and WIN Best in Show with their predecessors at CES.

I would just love to own these speakers and obtain all the down streaming that is required to optimize their performance.  Maybe, some day.  I understand your point how "discounted" these are being offered from retail and that alone should have some offers submitted.  However, at almost $29,000... for me a lot of other potential buyers...that's not change collected from under your car's back seat.  Findings buyers in this market not the same as those Pioneers  in this circle we're heaing so much about.

Fireguy-
I totally understand.  This is definitely not a "casual purchase" for most people.  To make things easier for those who might be close to pulling the trigger, but don't have $29K handy, I decided yesterday to also allow payment by Paypal.  That will allow purchasers to in effect "finance" these speakers through a credit card tied to their Paypal account.

By allowing Paypal, I think I probably just increased the potential buyers for these speakers at least 10x.  These really are Statement speakers in their current form and are now attainable by many more audiophiles, including maybe YOU!!  Its hard to pass on a $50K savings from retail - the perfect "step-up" for VSA owners of smaller speakers.

They excel in every genre of music I have tried.  They are spectacular with well-recorded rock, jazz, new age and especially big-band.  vocals are also off the charts.  Very realistic speakers that just let the music through, as VSA speakers are known for.
