Thanks man!

I agree, needing to knock out 40 records at a time does take a commitment, that's for sure

Thanks for posting. I just ordered a Gem Dandy since I'm getting back into vinyl. Sold my Nitty Gritty a few years back. There are some reviews on it, but maybe I'll post one up like yours.

Hi Vedder 323 and all Audio Circle members.
After many long search sessions on the Internet,
I have decided after reading lots of good reviews on the Spin Clean Record Washer to buy it from Amazon.
That was about three months ago, since then I have received the unit, however, I had not used it yet for the following reason:
I have about 80 vinyls, some of which are 45 years old and had never been clean except with that little carbon fiber brush.
Many inserts are probably full of dust and falling apart, therefore I have ordered replacement inserts from Sleeve City USA via Amazon; I should get them via a Vietnamese that will come to Vietnam next month.
I am very anxious to start testing and exercising my biceps.
Who needs an automatic machine, when you can exercise while having fun?
I was wondering which is better: tap water or bottle natural source water or boiled water from tap or bottle ? ? ?

Deionized bottled water is preferred since the minerals are removed and wont leave behind haze.

Guy 13,
good to hear you will be giving your biceps a workout!
Like you, many of my records are older. I replaced the album inserts with these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LQSFKY/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nick77's recommend for using deionized bottled water is spot on.
Have fun working those guns!

Hi Nick77 and all Audio Circle members.
Where can I get deionized bottled water?
Don't forget I am in Vietnam, rice they have tons of it, but deionized bottle water?
How about at the pharmacy ?
I hope it's not too expensive because I need probably 1 litre for 80+ vinyls.

Hi doc and all Audio Circle members.
I can buy it in the USA not problem via on line purchase,
however, can't get it shipped to Vietnam. even via some friends or relatives.
Therefore, I will have to go around Saigon and look for that rare deonized liquid.
Thanks anyway for the suggestion, I will keep that in mind when I am back in my civilized country (Canada).

Haven't tried that since the water here is pretty hard. Should be fine I would guess...

Has Aquafina water made it over to Vietnam? Fremer and others say the reverse osmosis process is just fine.
Other waters may list RO on the label.

Sleeve City Ultimate Audiophile inner sleeves will spoil you for anything else. Expensive but amazing.

Aquafina is not even on this list, even though it is a popular brand:

Distilled water should not be difficult to find, even in Viet Nam. Hospitals use it, Pharmacies use it and auto techs use it. Here in the States it's sold in grocery stores for folks who don't want to gum up their steam irons, humidifiers etc. Deionized water is fine, but it's just an audiophile affectation. Note: Sterile water and distilled water are NOT the same thing.

Hi Paul and all Audio Circle members.
This is what I bought from Sleeve City USA via Amazon:
2 x White Die-Cut LP Jacket with Center Hole
(Pack of 10)
Electronics
Sold by Sleeve City
Condition: New
$15.99

I only bought 20 to see the quality, I will probably need more,
but after a quick inspection, I saw that 20 years ago I bought some insert from I don`t know who, but they look in good condition.
Anyway, if I need more I will from Mobile Fidelity as per Bob2 recopmmendation.

Hi doctorcilantro and all Audio Circle members.
Oh ya, to do that you need an alambic device...
