This is an older thread but is really interesting.http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=100747.0I settled on Sonic Frontiers and deHavilland, for what it's worth.
I had an X350.5 with Revel Studio2s along with a CAT SL1 Renaissance Phono.....I wanted to go to Maggie 3.7s and thought I'd need a bit more juice in my largeroom, so I ordered a pair of Bryston 7BSST2's and instantly noted hearing somethings on recordings I had not before with the Pass......could very easily just bea synergy issue between the Pass and the CAT and/or speakers, but the differencewas not subtle at all. Three people heard it as well........a few weeks passedbefore I sold the Revels and then a couple of months went by (along with a UPSclaim) before the 3.7s landed in my system. I can't speak to Pass on the maggies, becausethe 350.5 had left by then, but FWIW, the Bryston's sound just amazing........The 3.7s are in my opinion the best buy in the history of Audio.........too manygoosebump moments to count for me.......I have a friend who just bought an X350 for his 3.7s. He just got a battery poweredDodd Preamp that we did a shootout with the other night w/ the CAT and I thinkthe Dodd is getting it's walking papers LOL
I can't speak to Pass on the maggies, because the 350.5 had left by then.........
