Yeah those two- McCartney and Lennon, such losers. They couldn't write a decent song. Heck, the Village People wrote better music then those two jokers. (Now didn't that sound really stupid? Yeah I thought so.) Name me a band today, where each of the singers took lead vocals and those songs were hits! And so many hits!If you listen to the songs and read the lyrics, they were far ahead of the times. And very cool.... even the political songs.Heck, even Brian Wilson admits the Beach Boys were the kings of Pop in the USA, until the Beatles arrived. After that, the Beatles were #1.But hey what do I know. I'm a Miles Davis fan. Ha Ha
I've tried on many occasions and couldn't get into it. Really wanted to. For me I think that I'm just not into trumpet.
You prefer organ?
Wow. One o'clock in the morning I guess I should have expected that the natives would be restless. Everyone else, do listen to what I've posted sometime. If it isn't special, or even if it is, feel free to make a rec you think is good.
Alright, which are the three best Miles Davis' albums.I start (for me):1. Kind of Blue2. Miles Ahead3. Birth of the CoolBonus:* Sketches of Spain* Miles Smiles* Bitches Brew
http://www.allmusic.com/album/miles-in-tokyo-mw0002223441Here is some sweetness and fire from the man as only he could deliver in the day. Regrettably, very; My Funny Valentine is not one you can access. Miles was a ballad player extraordinaire above all. But, don't let that stop you, have a listen to So What.
None of the above; I HATE Miles Davis.
Thank you for sharing Jerry. * Who do you LOVE? ... Bo Diddley?
Hahaaa...count me in with the loonies. I was a young adult and into music when they hit the scene. I found and still find them to be a highly overrated pop band that played simpleton music, flexed only on occasion by drug influence. Think about every video you've seen of the Beatles. There is no one in the audience but young, screaming, wannabe groupie females. That and that alone is their legacy as far as I can tell.Okay...bring it on. I'm ready for the hate bombs.
That might be fun to discuss but, in this instance, it would be Off Topic.
