Another thing to consider when working with a high gloss is the darkness of the colors. Lighter colors hide unevenness as they don't reflect like a mirror except at a steep angle.
There is no absolutely no forgiveness on black!

Now that you've joined this thread, you have got to give us some insight on your superb finishes.. PLEASE!
I am not asking for trade secrets, just a few yes/no questions:
1: Are you using catalyzed automotive finishes?
2: Are you post processing the finish using compounds, polishes, and waxes?
3: If answer to 2 is YES, do you use rotary or DA buffer?
