Hello,
I am not sure this is the right place to post this, but I would like to tap into the collective expertise on this site.
I just ordered some new speakers from Tyler Acoustics. I am getting a pair of D3M monitors (big MTM monitors rated down to 35hz) and a pair of DS12 subs (essentially a Rythmik F12 with a driver designed by Dannie Richie)
I have read a fair amount of information on speaker/sub placement (to include those on this site). I think I know the basics, but in my room I am not sure how to begin.
I have attached a layout with a couple different options. The shape of the room has me wondering upon which wall I will place the speakers.
I have no constraints on the space. I can place the speakers and eventual treatments wherever I like.
The room is a basement with carpet over a concrete slab and an 8’ ceiling. Where you see the opening in the room there is a 12” soffit that is 24” deep.
For now, I am interested in the initial room layout and speaker placement.
So, what say ye?
Thanks for the help (and sorry for the lousy drawings),
Chip
