"Breaking Up Somebody's Home" is A favorite single by Jimmy Johnson (Delmark).  That label is a favorite for Blues artists, too.  Can't say what my favs are, I love so many.  Grew up on the stuff.  Texas in the 50's.  So Cal was something of a hotbed, I believe.  I bet AC member Hi Fi Tommy can testify.  Tune in to the Johnny Otis show did we?

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Not my fave blues music, it is blues rock, but this SACD had great sound quality in Stereo.
It is soldout for years and price rise to US$230 on Amazon now.

Yup, it's Rory Block. She's a babe. She's 62 in that photo and she can play guitar like any bluesman you've ever heard, from Son House and Robert Johnson to Rev. Gary Davis and Mississippi Fred McDowel.

Magic Sam.  Voice like bourbon, classic blues guitar.  Well recorded to-boot.

This is essentially Muddy Waters' band.  Willie Dixon on bass, Muddy and Rogers on guitars, Otis Spann on piano, Fred Below on drums, and the two Hortons on harp.

Anything by the late (left us too early) Luther Allison.  What a voice and played guitar with lots of fire.

His live album from the 1997 Chicago Blues Festival is a must have for any blues lover!
