I've posted this before but just as a reminder this polish is the best I've found for piano gloss black finishes and probably any finish.  This site has by far the lowest price and I just ordered 2 more bottles.  Check it out..

Thanks so much for the tip!  I'll check it out.  My new VR100XS speakers are coming in Steinway Piano Black finish.  Albert says the finish on these is amazing.

Bob,

Congrats again, I guess you new VS100's are the hold up with getting my Anni's upgraded. Albert said in an E-mail earlier this week that he was just about complete on a bigger project. I guess that "bigger project" is for you.  :D Don't forget to post some pics!

Henry,

I just caught Albert on the phone for a few seconds.  I think your Annis are done, just waiting for the shipper to pick them up.  So, it won't be long.

es347-- yes you're right, I'll fess up.  It was about 5 minutes.  Still, for Albert that's like a few seconds.

Bob,

Thanks for the info!! I guess I'll be hearing from Albert early next week. Will report on the MKII when I get them back. When do you get those VS100's?

Given that each VR100 (not counting each 200 pound subwoofer) may weigh in at close to 500 pounds, I'm concerned that the floor of my listening room may need some reinforcement.  The room is over my garage with the speakers sitting directly above two cars-- that just sounds scary.  I've been told that the floor should be fine, but I think I'm going to have some additional bracing installed before the speakers are delivered just to ensure there's no floor sag.  I've already removed a large standalone fireplace from between the speakers to improve the sonics and eliminate some weight.

So, if I have that work done, I won't be able to receive the speakers until mid to late January, maybe February.  So as not to delay the introduction of the VR100XS, I've suggested that Albert prioritize the completion of the second pair.

I'll be posting my impressions of the speakers for sure with pics.

FWIW, I found this 8oz polish on EBAY for over $5 less (when including the shipping charges). So I ordered some.  :thumb:

Shipping.... your link has $10.03 shipping to Vermont for a total of $20.98. EBAY has $3.48 shipping for a total of $17.93 so yes I was wrong. It's only a $3.05 savings, not over $5 as I stated. Shipping charges to areas closer to Washington could even wipe out that savings. It's an option at best. :thumb:

I've got 2 Usher X-616 center channel speakers and an ACI Force XL, all in piano black and I've never been able to keep them clean and not attract dust for any length of time. I'm really looking forward to trying this product,,, currently in USPS. Thanks!  :thumb:

Just wanted to thank you publicly for posting this thread.  :thumb: Cory's Super Hi-Gloss Piano Finish is truly the real deal for laminated piano finishes,, whata shine indeed! It's amazing that so little of this spray polish is actually needed to make the finish pop. I expect this bottle will be lasting me a long long time for what little I actually had to use on my 2 Usher centers and ACI Force XL subwoofer. Thanks again es347.  8)

Cheers,
Robin

Grandma is giving her Spinet Piano to my kids. Looks like I'll be ordering two of the Cory's, one for the piano and one for the SR MkIIIs  :thumb:
