You may want to check to see if the polish is a petroleum based product. If it is DON'T use it. Petroleum based wax, polish or whatever will dry the finish out. Same thing with wax/polish for your car. Use a bees wax based product, such as Zymol and not the stuff you find in Walmart. Check on line or a speed shop,hot rod parts store.

I couldn't say one way or the other as the label doesn't list ingredients.  I can say however that having used this product on my gloss black finished speaker cabinets, both the rt/left mains and subwoofers, that the finishes look better than ever.  I use it about once per month and it not only shines but tends to eliminate static as well.  Highly recommended.
