I am putting my Nightshade Audio gear up for sale.  It would be preferred if this gear was purchased a whole.  However, I will absolutely consider splitting them up(although it would be a shame…). 

It looks like I may have a prospective buyer for the Beacon III preamp as well as the 240 watt filament Power Supply.  Therefore, in honor of "The Big Game", I will sell my NS-60 SE tube amp for $1,250!!  This is a great price for a piece of gear that would cost over $2,600 to replicate!  This price include all tubes necessary for operation and shipping.  This price is good until kickoff of the OSU vs Michigan game this Saturday.   GO BUCKS!!!

Listed below are the specs on the NS-60 SE tube amp along with the Beacon III tubed preamp.   All options and upgrades were selected to provide the most sonic improvement. Each upgrade builds upon the strengths of the other.  This is wonderful sounding gear in absolute mint condition but I have decided to go in another direction…hence the sale.

Also listed is an optional 240 watt Power Supply that I ordered from Blair at Nightshade.  Keep in mind that both the amp and preamp already come with separate smaller filament Power Supplies.  However, the beefier 240 watt Power Supply is a nice step up.  It can be used with either piece or can be used to power both of them at the same time(how I used it).

Both the NS-60SE & Beacon III are designed to be compatible with a wide range of equipment. As you can see from the pictures this gear is some of the finest looking stuff that Blair has ever built. (just check his avatar on AC…it is my NS-60 SE)

Based on current pricing NS-60 SE with the below options would run $2,580.  The Beacon III with the below options would run $1,450.  The 240 watt Power Supply would run $290.

I have  a matched quad of Gold Lion KT88's, a matched quad of Winged C 6L6's as well as a set of Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB's along with RCA 6SN7's that I can supply as well.

I have gotten a couple of PM's asking about the 240 watt Power Supply and do you need a 240 watt wall outlet...

The answer is the 240 watt Filament Power Supply has nothing to do with the wall outlet voltage.  The NS-60 SE can be plugged right into the standard 110 volt wall outlet with a regular Power Cord of your choosing, attaching to the IEC on the back of the amp. When I am talking about the 240 watt filament Power Supply, I am referring to the filament option that Blair at Nightshade Audio builds into his amps and preamps. Those filaments need to be powered. If you look at the back of the amp you will notice a hole next to the IEC. That is where the filament power supply plug goes.

The NS-60 SE and the Beacon III Preamp have separate external filament power supplies(with cord/plug) that comes standard with the amp & preamp.  However, the 240 watt filament power supply that I am selling separately is a "step up" over the stock filament power supply.

I should also mention that whether you just use the stock external filament Power Supply or get the 240 watt filament power supply, these power supplies are also plugged into an AC outlet as well via a regular power cord.
