Thanks for the info, I knew there was a connection with Nelson Pass. For an amp that runs partially in Class A, it is very cool and has excellent heat sinks. The case is all steel with an anodized aluminum front panel, and the heat sinks are steel. It looks very similar to the one in the link Richidoo attached.
This amp is very well made and sounds very good. Compared to the Ncore, it is a bit warmer sounding with more emphasis on the midrange. Bass is powerful and the high end is detailed and airy without being overly bright. It all depends on the speakers but the amp sounds very good in my system. Anyone in the Chicago area is welcome to check it out.
I've spoken with the guys at Coda, in California, and they are very cool. The amp has never received or needed service and is in perfect (9/10)shape. The internals are very well laid out and it is exceptionally powerful in bridged mode. The bridge mode is activated by a switch on the rear panel. I purchased the amp NOS from a private seller and have used it for years without issue. Also, I'm negotiable on price if anyone wants to shoot me an offer.
Cheers,
Jack
