Given this link: http://hi-fiworld.co.uk/index.php/loudspeakers/68-technology/138-open-baffle-loudspeaker-design-part-16.html I would recommend another speaker. Dimensions for a 15" I suppose could be 16 x 16 x 16 inches inner measure including or excluding baffle width. H-frames will be markedly less sensitive opposed to a flat baffle but in less need of EQ. What's the H complementing ?

Yes definitely. You can find the results of a trade-off study at the following link.

16 inches is cutting it very close. Going with 17 inches for the internal dimensions barely gives you an inch of clearance between the Alpha's edge and the sides.

Hi everyone, thanks very much for your responses. Earling the H's will be complimenting my Acoustat panels. Would you recommend a flat baffle as opposed to H frames?

Cleaton, H-frames will be an excellent choice. Built the MJK-way and crossed 2nd order they will, as you learn on Martin's web, also be perfectly equalised for flat performance.
Just to choose crossover- frequency to mix with the other speaker. However  I would suggest that Beta15 might be better sonically than the Alpha15. The 1 watt sensitivity will be 86 dB for a Beta unit in the proposed H-frame and the bass wll go down to about 30 Hz no doubt.

Hi guys just thought I'd share a picture of the system which the H frames will be used in.
