It here! A VTA adaper that provides repeatable, on-the-fly adjustment of vertical tracking angle (VTA) for almost any tonearm. In fact it should work with any tonearm that mounts into a round hole.  Unlike the the thin VTA adjusting sleeves that have been popular with Rega arms the Teres adapter is very rigd and made from solid brass.

The luxury of precise, on-the-fly VTA adjustment is no longer reserved for only a few high priced tonearms. Now even a lowly Rega RB-250 can have VTA adjustability that is every bit as precise, repeatable, and easy to use as a Graham or Tri-planar.  If you can't tell we are really jazzed about this one! Check it out.

Chris,

That looks GREAT!!!

I want one. :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:

Can I install it myself or do I need to send the Armboard and tonearm to you?

Wayne,

You would need to send me the armboard, but not the tonearm.

Chris,

So just to be perfectly clear, so no self-installs?  It requires the armboard to be sent to you in all cases?

Thanks

Self installs would be fine.  However, the process is a little complicated so most people will want me to do the installation.

To install the adapter on a 3/4" or thinner armboard requires that a 1-3/4" hole be drilled in the armboard. If the armboard is thicker than 3/4" then a 2" counterbore is also required on the bottom. In addition a 3/16" hole needs to be drilled into the back end of the armboard to provide access to the upper locking setscrew. We also use epoxy to install the adapter into wood armboards, along with the setscrews to lock it into place.

Just got the word that Chris is finished installing the VTA adaptor on my armboard and it should be shipped back today :D

I will post some photos of thearmboard before and after, as well as comments.

Many moons ago, I used a tonearm with on the fly, adjustable VTA and I REALLY liked it a lot. I am VERY glad the Teres Audio has come up with this adaptor.

I received the arm board back today. Chris did a great job of installing the adaptor.

With just a couple of albums played, the advantage of the adjustable VTA adaptor is readily apparent. It is just a matter of a few moments work to change the VTA for each album. I will report more later. I am too busy playing vinyl :D
