What about doing a tube mod to my DVD player or CD player instead?

I use the Eastern Electric MiniMax tube CDP and Preamp with the CineNova and VMPS speakers and the results are "incredible" to say the least.
I also have the Sherwood NewCastle P-965 Pre-Pro and it has the best 2 channel preamp I have heard short of the Bryston SP1.7
