New bryston dealers?
« on: 17 Jul 2012, 08:52 pm »
James , will there be any new dealers in Vancouver . We had 2 but one went out of business a few years ago. It would be nice to have that choice again. Thanks

I think it was "Sound Plus" that folded. It was a great store, had PMC as well.

I think not.   Bryston is smart,,they protect their dealers.

I'm busy setting up a Bryston Dealership in Bedfordshire, UK, about 40mins north of London if that is of any help :)

Should be open for business in a couple of weeks all going well.

My two cents things should be going well.
Correct me please if I'm wrong, but I have the feeling UK made amplifiers are somehow lacking. I could be wrong of course: my interest in investigating the amp market stopped after I bought my 4B ST.
Not quite so on front end electronics, or loudspeakers.

Hi Fernando,

I know what you mean, once I discovered Bryston a few years ago I stopped looking tbh, saying that over the last year I have really been able to appreciate UK company Naim as a HiFi brand, they make some great products, including amps, they are a great companion brand to sit alongside Bryston as they offer a totally different presentation and I'm proud that I will be stocking both Bryston and Naim, don't tell Naim though but I'd still choose Bryston everyday

When I considered Naim during the '90s, their amps looked somehow weak, or underpowered. Don't know about what they are manufacturing nowadays, but ten years ago their twin mono amps looked ...small and overpriced, and too proud of themselves
Their CD Players looked nice, and their speakers looked nice too - but I'm talking of 1995-1999 products.
When I chose the Meridian 508-24 over the Naim.
