Anyone compare MMK(Evox Rifa) cap with BG "NX" cap

I know a lot of people recommend RTX over MMK but the price is not an encouragement. Just wonder if Black Gate "NX" cap a worthwhile upgrade from MMK cap?
Appriciate you comment.

Thanks,

Saml,
I have experimented widely with Blackgate caps including the NX. The NXs are seriously lovely providing there is not too much DC bias on them. I am using 22uF/6.3V NXs for the Vbe bypass cap (C7 I think) and the AC ground cap at the bottom of the feedback network (C2 I think). It should also work well for the input cap (C1) but could suffer "colateral damage" if you ever have a fault in your preamp (because of its low voltage rating).

Cheers,
Ginger

If you are really confident (and I mean really, really) you will never get dc on the output or your pre, get rid of C1 altogether.

My pre has a Sonicap on the output, which is way better than the MMK. So it's pointless having another cap on the AKSA input.

Hi MarinRider,

Don't think I'll removed C1 as I plan to fiddle the opamp in my player and they'll go through a passive valume control and to my aksa.
The Sonicap that you mention. Is that the one from Jeff off Soniccraft? Was told that they are very good.

Cheers,
Sam
