I have a Rogue 90 I will be posting soon.  This has similar transformers, but some additional additives that make it quite a beefy powerhouse.  Let me know if you would be interested in it.

Thanks!

I've spent some time with a Cronus Magnum (integrated version of the Atlas)and I currently own a Stereo 90 Super Magnum and can attest that the 90 is a much beefier, more effortless sounding amp.  Since the 90 hasn't gotten any press and the Titan series has gotten lots of press you can get the two amps for roughly the same dough.  If I had to choose between the two it's the 90 hands down.

Good way of putting it Ericus, but maybe the OP wants something for looks vs. performance.

Here's my ad. w/photos just so you can get an idea:

Ericus Rex -- thanx for your input. Maybe i should consider the Stereo 90. I don't think the seller has the "super magnum" tho.

Audioexels -- i just looked at your pics -- looks very clean. I was really looking for a magnum version of the Atlas. Is your 90 a "super magnum" ?
Also i am now wondering if the standard Stereo 90 has the same magnum parts as the magnum Atlas. ??
I guess a call to Rogue is needed.

Except for the Titan series, all Rogue products now come with the Magnum upgrade as standard.  Only a few products have an additional upgrade (Super Magnum) available.  The standard Magnum 90 will still wallop a Magnum Atlas, IMO.

Not to step on anyone's toes or ad, or anything......

But I have a friend who made that call to Mark O'Brien at Rogue, and he said "the 90 is more SS sounding than the Titan series".  So I suppose the choice depends on your preferences, and what your system needs.

Just relaying some heresay....FWIW.    :dunno:

I won't disagree with that statement, Sunnydaze.  The 90 definitely does have more punch and stronger bass than the Cronus Mag I've auditioned.  But it also has a larger, more 3D soundstage.  If your tastes run more toward a traditional tube sound then the Titan series may be best for you.  If your tastes (or speakers, as was my case) need more control to give you that 'punch' then you might consider the Stereo 90.  But don't get me wrong.  The 90 does not have the sizzle or lack of 'air' that SS has (when compared to tubes).  I like to think of the Rogue stuff, in general, as being tube sounding but without the traditional tube shortcomings.  YMMV.

WOW!   The 90 must really be something then, cause my Atlas Magnum + Sunny speakers is quite dynamic, impactful and spacious.

But remember, your comparo is not exactly apples to apples, as it is separates vs Cronus integrated.  And cronus is built to a price point which is only $200 more than my Atlas amp, so it is somewhat compromised by a modest line section.  Using a  decent separate line stage w my Atlas brings it up a notch over the Cronus.  I've compared both in my rig.

To  relate another story, this time more a direct experience.....

My buddy has identical speakers, and at one time he was using Rogue M150  (or maybe 180's?).  Anyways they were the big and pricey monos, switchable to triode.   The sound was incredibly dry, analytical, clinical, and agressive.   Cold with no emotional pull or musicality at all.   It sounded like bad SS to me.  Could not believe I was listening to the same speakers, or --given how nicely my modest Atlas works w the speakers -- that it was an amp in the Rogue lineup, for that matter!

That he got stellar results w subsequent amps (PrimaLuna, Music Reference,  VAC) says that the problem was not elsewhere in the chain, or with the room.

Just goes to show that sonic character can even change w/in a particular  mfr's lineup, and pricier and bigger is not necessarily "better".

Sounds like I may have ruffled your feathers a bit.  Sorry about that!  We both love our Rogue stuff and that's what matters.

Oh no no no!  You misunderstand.  No ruffled feathers at all.  I'm not defensive like that.  I aim to please noone but myself, regardless of opinions or consensus.

I simply provide info and experiences in the hope it may be somewhat helpful to those that may be interested in the the gear under  discussion.

It's all good.      :thumb:

Good to know.  Just curious, what speakers are you and your buddy using with your Rogue stuff?

He sold his Rogue 150 monos a few years ago.  Since then he has used:  PrimaLuna  monos (70 wpc),  Music Reference RM9 mk2,  and his current VAC Phi 200.
