Hi Folks

I had my grandson over on Canada day (he is 4) and he saw a spider and was going to step on it when I said.... NO - if you do that it will rain

Anyway it reminded me of all the sayings we as children grew up with - thought it might be fun to list some.

My Dad used to say:

My Dad being a cop always said to me when something went wrong:

"Accidents just don't happen, they are caused".

Sure defeated any hope of blaming things on chance and bad luck.

Speaking of grandfather, mine, an accomplished bootlegger and outlaw in the old English sense, used to say to me, "If you're going to commit a crime, do it by yourself. You ain't going rat yourself out."

My father told me "All women are crazy son, all of them even your mother, it's important for you to understand this so that you don't think that you're crazy".
