I like it John. A bit too "easy listening" in the jazz genre for my tastes though. Plus, it's MP3.
I'm on the fence.
I love upright bass. Would love to hear "him in front" instead of him behind everybody else.
Like a Brian Bromberg "Wood" and "Wood II" kinda thing. That just kicksass.
Bob
Heya' Bob,
Yeah - Tommy is def not an audiophool. When I saw him last (too many years ago as we live 3000 miles from one another now) I think his 'system' was a Sounddesign All-in-One (circa 1995) and probably cost him no more than $250 all in
When I took him to task for being a musician and listening to a shitbox, he swirled his red wine in his glass slowly, looked at me and said it's music all the same so why bother spending more - no use trying to get live music sounds in a condo cause' you can't.
Ha - wish I could climb aboard that same thought train - would've saved a BUNCH of spread over time.
As it's pleasant listening, background music, it doesn't bother me that it isn't audiophool uber-resolution...it sounds fine for the music it is (I have the CD, not the download)
