I had a T7 ECR preamp. Very good pre but not as good as the Avastar.
 If you can get one on the cheap I'm sure Frank can upgrade it for you.

There is a Transcendence 8 on ebay for $900 right now.  Phono stage and remote.

The Transcendence 7 hybrid preamp remains a darn nice unit.  Depending upon the physical layout of the PC cards, it might be possible to upgade it with the most recent Exicon mos-fets and perhaps even newer tube types.  I would have to see sharp photos of the audio boards to determine this for sure and give a firm cost estimate.
