White cone, gold phase plug.. not very attractive, imo.
I find them (the new ones) to be sexy!
Oh, you got me. I'm going to recalibrate my laptop screen while I watch my show. Either way don't care for either. Both look pretty stodgy.
The SEAS drivers, implemented correctly, provide some of the most clean, accurate sound reproduction available. They will clearly expose the electronics connected to them for what they are. If you have a quality signal supplying the input, one will be rewarded with outstanding sounding music. There is a very good reason so many manufactures use them in their designs. They deserve the highest quality parts for the crossover available.
I'm sure they sound amazing but there is something very old fashioned in how they look. White cone, gold phase plug.. not very attractive, imo. I know they perform very well but they look like old man drivers. Grandpa's speakers.
Maybe they should be made to look more like children's drivers.
I likes it! If they would combine the red molded cone with Yamaha's Natural Ear shape, they would really be on to something! Steve
