So in your opinions the foam is crap? I really enjoy the appearance. Do either of you have any pictures of your treatments I could take a look at?
Well in smaller rooms, your issues are more likely in the lower frequencies which means serious bass trapping alone with dealing with first reflections. The foams density is usually half of OC 703 and about 1/3rd of OC 705, and density is necessary for lower frequencies. But something is better than nothing, and honestly treating the first reflections with foam isn't a bad idea.
As for pics, I will have to post those a bit later. Honestly, my treatments I did on the ultra ultra cheap and I would give the looks about a 5/10. I didn't frame them, and I utilized used burlap sacks. Extremely cheap and effective, but not much WAF. The ats acoustics link will give you an idea how they should look with proper framing.
