We are planning for a larger swap/trade/buy/sell session one Saturday in April, following a dry week so cars won't get stuck. What are your thoughts?

bside123

Interested.

DeadFish

I'm interested too.  Got some stuff some of y'all might be interested in, maybe.

In (if I'm not traveling for work).

Damn.  I'll be on the road.

Under those circumstances I'd ask everyone to PM me with a list of what you are going to sell.  No sense hauling it to Dave's estate if I can buy the stuff beforehand.

The firm tentative date is Saturday, April 21st from noon to 8 pm. This is contingent on NO RAIN for three days prior to, and during, Saturday, so everyone can get into and up out of the backyard in their vehicle. Start dusting off your gear, and cracking open them piggy banks!

The yard is shaping up,

and the ladies will be welcoming!

I'd like to get in on this! I've got a pair of "The Advent Loudspeakers" (refoamed) and "Small Loudspeakers", as well as some misc. receivers and what not... Looking forward to seeing what other vintage gems crop up!

Well I've got quite a few "vintage gems".  Ooops, wait, no, that's my system!

Hey Teddy; are you selling the Advents or are you looking to add some vintage goodies to the Advent collection??????

Dave, I think I'm free on the 21st and looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Mike, it is Saturday the 21st, from noon to 8 pm. I have a new 50 year old system y'all can listen to, as well.

DeadFish

I am looking forward to coming and bringing goodies that just ought to be listened to by someone else.  Y'all come!
I am going to be need some directions though...

I will PM or email the directions two days prior. Telegraph and 255 will put you three minutes away from the house.

Here is the one system, with the Harman Kardon Citation II amp, Citation IV preamp, Musical Fidelity CD player, Barzilay console, and an opening for a TT of some persuasion.

Hey GASers,

Hope everybody's doing well. I am trying to get up that way for the get together on April 21. I've been sorting through some of my stuff to see what I have available to add to the buy/sell/trade frenzy.

Testing the waters here... I have a VPI Aires Scout turntable with JMW 9" in. tonearm, dustcover and paperwork in good condition. No box. Before I pop a turntable in the car and haul it all the way up to St. Louis... might there be any interest in such a beast?

Hope to see you soon and best regards.

Din, you would be welcome to drop it in one of the main systems for the afternoon. Both the Citation IV and Juicy Music Blueberry tube preamps would do it justice. Just bring a few LPs, as I only have a handful at the moment.  :D

DeadFish

I am really looking forward to anyone stopping my the 'shindig' this saturday.  It will be good to see folk again, or some of you even for the first time!
Don't know if y'all care or not, but I have some of my knife collection I was going to get rid of, and thought I would drag it along in case someone needed a new everyday carry, or just something sharp to tinker with.  Working in a knife shop, it was really easy to get a pile of stuff that had to come home with me.  :oops:You never know when you are going to see something you cannot live without.  Even if not buying or whatever, it'll be nice if folk just stop by and b/s!
Now, everyone pray no rain!

As requested, I sent an email of this event to all GAS members.
If you didn't receive the email, then you're not in my list.
If you'd like to be, send me an PM.  :D

Bob

p.s. I won't be there, I'll be at work.

wedweb

I'm looking at attending.  I will have albums and some gear for sale.

bside123

Sorry... it looks like I won't be able to make the drive up despite my hope to attend. :bawl: Both a morning meeting as well as an evening family gathering has come up. If I lived in the area, I coulda' pulled it off, but its the 5 hour drive round trip from Dave's that makes it hard. I look forward to hearing about all of the great times, gear, deals and spills that I missed. Please post a few pics with some highlights!
