I had to go with Help!
The song just popped into my head and it was right around the turning point from plain old pop songs to their later, more sophisticated songs.
They were ALL great albums.

So tough to choose but I'm going with Abbey Road. It's still a jaw-dropper for me, fantastic songs in a beautifully-crafted album which remains a formidable benchmark decades after the fact and displays the awesome reach of the band and George Martin. Stunning achievement. Just stunning...

I like Abbey Road, but I really prefer their first 2 or 3 albums. I was about 12 or 13 at the time, and they've stuck with me.

Later songs? Norwegian Wood, Here Comes the Sun, Yesterday.

Sigh... Depends if we are talking Mono (Revolver, MMT, White Album) or stereo (Abbey Road). They may have left of MMT because it was actually an EP. It was made album length for US release by adding a bunch of non-related, previously UK-only tracks.

I voted for Revolver.

As of this post, Abbey Road is still in the lead, followed by Revolver.

I know it's considered one of their weakest albums, and I know they didn't have a whole lot to do with it, especially the second side... but I would have voted for Yellow Submarine! Hey Bulldog is probably my favorite Beatles song, the other five tracks rank right up there in my book and I like George Martin's symphonic stuff on side two.

Sure, other albums are better, but this one always makes me smile when rotates into my playlist.

Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper. I was in Albert Hall, once. All the holes were boxing fans. Saw a British Isles middleweight title fight. You know, something to do. My wife was about the only female in the house. The fans were very different from what I was used to. They sang. Loud. It was packed.
