Somebody please tell me that Dennis Rodman wasn't really ever her boyfriend, that it was just a publicity stunt.
Now how did the music producers accomplished that?
There are various names for the effect (Q-sound, etc.) but it's just playing with the phase of certain tracks in a mix. Simple stuff.
At a garage sale last summer, I bought Madonna's Immaculate Collection CD for 5o cents. It is a little lacking in the bass department, but if your system images great, this is one of the most holographic CD's that you will ever hear. Her CD is in the same league as Roger Walters Amused to Death. You will swear you are listening to a 5.1 surround system. Now how did the music producers accomplished that?
...That's funny because I see Madonna as a talentless hag...
What about "I see" don't you understand? I was just stating my opinion. If Madonna is your idea of a talented artist, more power to you. I think she is a disgusting dried up hag who either lip syncs or uses heavy electronic effects while doing aerobics on stage, for stooges who don't know any better than to pay big bucks to see this tramp. Just my opinion. J
Talentless?? How about just saying "not to your taste".
Obviously, it's your opinion. Sometimes I think you're right, and this time I think you've overstated and think you're wrong. Just my opinion. However, I do like your dog.S
I looked her up on Wiki - she'll be 54in August. While I was there I read about her a bit. Many of you guys who are speaking of her disparagingly should go over there and educate yourselves. She's had a monumental impact on music and culture over the past 30 years. She has been listed #25 out of the 100 most influential women. The only other singer to make the list was Aretha Franklin - pretty good company to be in. Give the material girl a break.
I'm not disputing any of that. All I'll say is six years ago my wife went to see her live and Auntie M really was a shadow of her former self performance wise. Not that that is surprising. We all get old. Music wise she may even be better. That isn't the question here though. The question isn't whether or not we'd like to hear her new album, it's whether or not we'd pay 300 bucks to see her perform it. There's a second thing too. Obviously she's going to be playing a lot of her past hits too. Who wants to see a 54 year old Madonna singing and gyrating to the words "Like a virgin, touched for the very first time" , "Papa don't preach....I'm keepin' my baby", or striking the Vogue pose? Try to imagine Avril Lavigne singing Skater Boy 30 years from now or those no longer kids Hanson brothers singing MmmmBop It just reaches a point where one just can't get away with it anymore. IMO she's at that point. Hits or not, even Jackson had to stop singing ABC at some point.
