I'd love to see some pics of this Dude with it's top off.
I wouldn't.  I don't like Dudes without tops and would very much prefer to keep it that way.

Good taste BAJ55, mine is very similar.

I might be worried if I did'nt own a Dude a year ago. At the 40hr mark (compared to my old Dude) it lacks Dynamics, Bass, Open highs and soundstage. But what's interesting is the first thing that is coming around (at 40hrs so far) is the Midrange. It is already much more natural and engaging then my first incarnation (blame the Duelunds perhaps), which lends me to believe this will prob be the last pre I buy.

got my Duelund Caps installed over the weekend myself  and took some pictures inside. Nice improvement over the MIT cap came with the unit, should be getting better with more hours.
My is black with plastic remote.
anyone get the metal remote with new unit now?

Yep , check out the pic in reply #13. Very simple two button metal remote .  I would'nt throw it across the room unless you wanna break something or hurt someone. :nono:

I wish I knew what kind of circuit the dude used.  Would help me understand why it sounds as good as it does.

That's no guarantee of anything.  I've heard plenty of $5k gear I wouldn't wanna own.

Just received my Dueland caps today.  Paul really goes above and beyond as he sent me heat shrink as well as solder to put them in with!

First time popping the top tonight.  It's certainly not an empty case.  It seems that all things are oversized under the hood.  I'm with the fellas, no topless dude postings for me :nono:

For me, I like looking under the hood of any equipment I am about to purchase to see what is
going on inside, or , maybe to see how easy or difficult it would be to mod.
So for me, Yes I still would enjoy seeing under the hood.
