Sex???  I'm an audiophile.  We don't need no stinkin' sex!   We stay (pardon the expression) up all night while the wife/GF/SO is out cold in the bedroom! :shake: :hyper:

Isn't that right, BISL?

Could you crank out a shoebox full for me while you wait for the speakers to finally show up?
I'd like a new cartridge, a new phono stage and I need some speaker wires as well.  If there's anything left over maybe I can swing a DAC and another tube buffer as well.
Thanks!

Soon, Bob, Soon.

The store doesn't open until 11 eastern time, so I won't call until 11:01.

Seriously, I'm sure it'll take a few days to get them to the trucking company, at which point I'll have someone attach a satellite tracking device to the cargo so I can sit up all night following the shipment on my Mac.  I am thinking early next week at the soonest, Dammit!

I do need to be patient.  It took almost a month to find the money and arrange the purchase, during which they were very helpful and patient.  Though I do feel like the vulture sitting on a roadside fencepost who says "Patience, HELL!  I'm gonna go KILL something!"

I think it's good manners to wait until they've been open for 2 minutes; 1 or less seems a little pushy. If it makes you feel any better, it took months to get my 3.7s.

Could you send a shoebox full my way as well?

Hey Thunder,  do you have "Anticipation" by Carly Simon cued and ready to go?  Seriously, the 20.1's are amazing and they will reward you each and every day.   While I haven't owned a pair, I"ve spent many hours listening to them at my Local Magnepan dealer and wishing that I had a bigger room!

No, thanks!  When I worked in an audio store in the 70s, I got sick to death of Carly Simon and that damned album.  And when I go back and listen to other demo albums from the time (like Poco), I am underwhelmed.  Might start with LPs of Enya, some of my Reference Recordings, or I may even pull out some dbx encoded discs.  I LOVE the Linda Rondstat albums with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, MFSL Moody Blues, or Wagner on Sheffield.

Walk into any guitar store back in the day and there was someone butchering Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water.

I like Lyle Lovett's first track of his "It's not big, it's large" CD...the rest of the CD is so well recorded that it is a joy to listen to, ymmv

Lemme put it this way.  On that January vacation EVERYONE down there had a New Jersey accent, even the Cubans.  Last thing I want to do is torque off someone from Joisey that has "my" speakers.  They might make me an offer yadda, yadda, yadda................

Called them late in the day, and they are getting pallets ready to bolt together.  I imagine that'll be done in someone's garage since the shop is small, but it certainly speaks well of their efforts to safely ship the speakers.  They also told me as nicely as possible that they'll let me know when all the shipping info is done.  In other words, CHILL, Man!    :thumb:

Oh, and printing the $100 bills?  Sorry, guys, my wife burned up the copier. :duh:

Yeah, but you probably PAID for them a lot faster!

Update:  The dealer called today to ask if I was going to bi-amp the 20.1s.  Seems they didn't have the factory jumpers and didn't want to ship the  speakers without them.  If I needed them they said they'd order some.  I told them not to bother, cause I will be using multiple amps.

Awfully considerate of those folks! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
