You should get the jumpers "just in case".

Someday, there may be a change in your system that requires it, or you may ..<gasp>.. sell the units and the buyer may want them.

Yes this is my first post. I read through this whole thread in antisipation to hear how the new 20.1's story turned out... I am dashed, did they arrive? Is it audio heaven? This is like TV show that just gets to the good part and then they flash on the screen to be continued.  :o Just to let you know, I have a pair of Maggie 1.7's with 3.7's on order. It should be maybe another three weeks.

WHOOHOOO!!  Looks like I'll be staying close to home for the next week or so.  The 20.1s are shipping TODAY!

Not only is that GREAT NEWS, but check out the packing effort that Audio Center did to make sure they get here in good shape!   :thumb:

I wonder if those ratchet straps are cryogenically treated?  Will it impact the sound?

If anybody shows up before she-who-shall-be-obeyed decides the house is suitable for company, NONE of us are going to be listening to our stereos any more.    :peek:

She'll want to re-do the kitchen floor with nice tile, electric radiant heating, blah, blah, blah.

Still waiting for the name of the trucking firm and the shipment #.  It's 3:30 eastern time and I am chomping at the bit to learn that.

Bob In St Louis wants me to bring back some PanzerHoltz when I head to Germany in July.  Berni, can you build your luggage out of that stuff and in the sizes that BISL wants to build?   :thumb:

Thunderbrick, there is no way those Maggies  will incur any shipping damage with that packing job! The excitement is getting intense!  :green:

I was hoping for several full size sheets, but given the current offer, several sheets 21" X 40" would work out just fine.

That pallet looks good Bob.  :thumb:

It won't be long now and, unless the truck wrecks :o, I'd say you have nothing to worry about in terms of damage. What's the ETA on the amp's return?

My wife always says that she's going to bury me with my speakers.
Two guesses what that pallet and tie down picture made me think of...

The amp is supposed to be checked out Monday.  I have no gripe with that but the tech is located in St Louis, 100 miles away.  The helluvit is, I've driven to the STL airport three times in the last four days, and passed within a mile of the repair shop each time.    Too bad the amp wasn't ready, but they did tell me it'd be a three-week wait, and that's just about right.

Nice thread and I tell ya, I would be so ready for it all to come together and get it set up and fired up!  It is always cool to read where someone has pulled the trigger and hit one out of the park as you have!

It will also be great to read your review of it once it has landed.

Not funny!     15 years ago I shot a wedding, and when the prints and negs were shipped back the UPS truck was in a flaming wreck and ALL was lost.  The bride wanted to sue me to re-stage the whole event for new photos.  I almost told her "If you can still fit in that dress a month later, I'll be happy to re-shoot it!"  Instead, I told her I'd show up in court and wouldn't bother to bring a lawyer, because UPS sent me a letter assuming full responsibility.  Did they pay me anything?  Of course not, and I didn't charge her a penny, so EVERYBODY lost out.

Shit happens.   :dunno:
